Molasses, Lime, Tamarind. Full, rounded body. An approachable, easy drinking breakfast coffee. 

Background Info


Arakawa estate is a new small farm in Kurtistown, Hawaii of 170 trees of red caturra and typica variety trees planted on a 1 acre lot at 700ft elevation. This farm is owned by Edna Arakawa and Jim Chestnut, producers of our Hawaii Kilauea Volcano coffee. Edna and Jim harvest the coffee themselves Twice a week. We pick up up cherry from them for several month to produce our our 93 point rated Puna Champagne Natural. The rest of the harvest Jim and Edna pulped and fermented with wine yeasts at their Volcano farm.

An Equally powerful coffee to the Champagne natural coffee with a much different spectrum of flavors. Most similar to excellent Colombian caturras and some washed coffees from Congo. full bodied, lively with molasses as the dominant flavor.
