Kona Geisha Rosé — Washed Light Roast

A rare and radiant Hawaiian Geisha coffee from the misty slopes of Kona.
Elegant and expressive, our Kona Geisha Rosé reveals the delicate florals and fruit character that define the world’s most celebrated coffee variety—reimagined through the volcanic terroir of Hawai‘i’s Big Island.

Origins & Elevation: Noelani Farm, North Kona

High above the town of Hōlualoa, Noelani Farm cultivates Geisha trees at roughly 2,500 feet—the highest reaches of the Kona district. The cool, cloud-shrouded climate evokes Boquete, Panama, birthplace of Geisha’s legend, yet the result is unmistakably Hawaiian: luminous, tropical, and serene.

The first Geisha plantings took root in 2021; by 2023, small weekly harvests yielded just enough to create our inaugural Kona Geisha Rosé lot—a mosaic of micro-pickings brought together in celebration of the variety’s arrival to Kona.

Character & Style: Floral, Lively, Refined

Fragrant notes of watermelon, white tea, and raspberry rise from the cup.
On the palate, hints of pink lemonade, strawberry yogurt, and honey unfold in graceful sequence, finishing bright and silky.
A coffee of delicacy and depth—lively yet poised, like its namesake Rosé.

96 Points — Coffee Review

“High-toned, tropical, exquisitely balanced… orange blossom, cocoa nib, guava, young ginger, cedar.”

Craft & Process: The Rosé Washed Method

A double-fermentation technique pioneered by Paradise Coffee Roasters in Hawai‘i, inspired by the artistry of Rosé wine.
Whole cherries are rinsed, floated, and inoculated with wine yeasts, then pulped and fermented again in the sweet cherry must.
The result combines the clarity of a washed coffee with the fruit-forward charm of a natural—producing the distinctive strawberry, white-flower, and melon tones that define Kona Geisha Rosé.

Acclaim

The debut roast of Noelani Geisha scored 96 Points — Coffee Review, joining the highest-rated coffees ever produced in Hawai‘i.

A Moment of Paradise: How to Enjoy

Best savored slowly—by pour-over or delicate immersion—to reveal its layered aromatics and crystalline sweetness. Whether shared at dawn or enjoyed in quiet solitude, Kona Geisha Rosé invites reflection, balance, and a renewed sense of wonder in every cup.

What Is 100% Kona Coffee?

100% Kona coffee refers to coffee grown exclusively in the Kona district of Hawai‘i Island — a small, volcanic region
along the western slopes of Hualālai and Mauna Loa. The combination of mineral-rich soil, afternoon cloud cover, and gentle trade winds produces one of the world’s most distinctive coffee terroirs.

To be labeled “100% Kona Coffee,” every bean must be grown within the Kona district and meet strict Hawai‘i grading quality standards. Kona coffee can be made from different arabica varieties, but Kona Typica — a heirloom lineage — remains the region’s most common and traditional cultivar.
