His collection includes some of the rarest in the world -- coffees many have neither heard of nor tasted.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOf each variety Gonzalo has only a few trees, and his coffees are sold in small 10 kilogram bags to knowledgeable roasters and friends around the world, first come, first serve. We first visited Coffea diversa and met Gonzalo 10 years ago, and we’ve been looking forward to sharing these ever since. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eA few years ago he started new farms in Guatemala and in Jamaica's Blue Mountains growing a selection of his best cupping exclusive varieties from the Costa Rica farm. These farms are finally starting to produce and Paradise is one of the first roasters in the world to have an opportunity to share these coffees. For this Duo we have selected the Bourbon Rey variety from both farms to compare the impact of growing environment on coffee of the same genetic background.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBourbon Rey\u003c\/strong\u003e is a mutation of the bourbon variety discovered on Coffea Diversa farm that produces giant seeds.
