Background Info

Java is an origin so synonymous with coffee production we often still call coffee a 'cup of Java'. Although, truly excellent coffees from this region have been rare in recent times.

Most Java coffee comes from large government-owned estates in East Java. These typically have a classic island profile: soft, nutty, pleasant, yet forgettable. But delightful things are happening in Western Java, where small-holder coffee producers, like the Klasik Beans Cooperative, have focused on producing specialty-grade, excellent quality coffees.

Our Java Kamojang micro-lot comes from16 smallholder farmers who deliver cherry to Lekor Garut washing station. Their farms average 1.5ha in size and are at an average elevation of 1500m

What makes this Java unusual is its full-bodied texture and bright vibrant flavors. This may be the first real 'cup of Java' you've ever had.
