Pacamara is a hybrid or the giant bean Maragogype variety and the compact high yielding Pacas variety developed in El Salvador and now widespread across the Americas in recent years. But rarely found on other continents. To our knowledge this is the only Pacamara commercially available from Africa at this time. Exclusive to Paradise in the USA this year! This Variety along with the Geisha/Gesha Variety dominates cupping competitions in many countries. This example is a great example of the variety's powerful, yet elegant cup.
Acacia Hills Coffee Estate
When a new group, including former coffee roaster Mark Stell took over ownership of the Acacia Hills property in 2007, they began importing varieties from Central and South America to try at the farm. This included Castillo from Colombia, Pacamara from El Salvador along with green and bronze tip Geisha selections from farms in Panama. Their Gesha PB won the 2021 Tanzania Cupping on the crater competition which we also purchased at auction.
