Chiroso productive plant, with excellent cup quality and has begun to be grown on several farms in Antioquia now along with a handful of young plantings beginning recently in other regions. Sometimes also called Caturra Chiroso as the plants high production of cherries resembles the Caturra variety, In actuality recent genetic testing has shown this variety to be an Ethiopian Land race. one of many that was probably once part of field trials in Colombia decades ago, now being planted for its combination of great cup quality and yeilds.

A tiny lot he processed as a natural. drying the coffee in the fruit. We purchased all 35lb of this coffee, most of which was sent to our Rare Coffees Tour Subscribers.
